Our story

About Near & Found

Useful things deserve another chapter. Near & Found is building a simpler way for neighbors to buy and sell, make room at home, and keep good items in use.

Less friction. More connection.

Our starting point is one community and a focused experience: photo listings, simple chat, thoughtful meetup guidance, and accessible design. Our goal is to make posting an item possible in under 30 seconds, and we plan to validate that with real people before expanding.

Built for everyday people

First-time sellers, older adults, families clearing out a room, makers, and collectors should all feel welcome. Clear language, readable text, and generous controls are central to how we want to build—not extras added later.

Local first, thoughtful always

We want useful items to stay out of landfill and opportunity to stay close to home. Features such as voice-to-list, suggested prices, and business storefronts are future possibilities; our first priority is getting the basics right.

When meeting someone to exchange an item, choose a public place, inspect it before paying, and take your time. A friendly marketplace still calls for good judgment.

Real people. Real items. Real opportunities.
